In a matter of a 6 weeks, I found myself divorced after a 21 year marriage, jobless after a 15 year career, an empty nester after raising 3 amazing sons, and ironically a recent seminary grad with a Masters in Family Ministry.

Life, as I knew it, unraveled. I found myself completely alone.

Every title I used to define myself was no longer true for me…wife, pastor, student, volunteer, active parent. I couldn’t breathe…who was I?

This forced a real, raw, identity search and sparked a fresh passion in me, a fiery determination, to help people around the world find healthy community. I believed it was possible to find people who celebrate each other's wins, and grieve each other's losses all while supporting each others principles. In 2018 we launched the 2nd CityFam chapter in Houston, TX and soon, word got out about these likeminded groups focused on social and service events as well as self improvement. Other cities started asking how they could have this too, so instantly we got busy building and believing in the movement.

As of today, we have chapters in many major metroplexes. I still run the CityFam Houston chapter where many of the people I met there are my closest friends!
